The following is an update from the BDS Movement addressed to all who have written ‘to the UN urging it to cancel its contracts with G4S, the private security company that helps Israel run prisons where Palestinian political prisoners are held without trial and subjected to torture.

‘A UNHCR representative has said that the UNHCR in Jordan  “is no longer using G4S”. Now we need to push the UN as a whole to cut all of its contracts with G4S.

Take action now: Join the BDS Thunderclap action!

BDS Movement have ‘set up a Thunderclap social media action, which is like an online flashmob. When you join our Thunderclap, you authorise a Tweet or Facebook post from your account at midday EST on December 10, Human Rights Day.

‘Since the start of the current wave of popular resistance by Palestinians, Israel has arrested nearly 2,000 people, many of whom are being held in prisons that G4S helps to run. Let’s take action in solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners.
