War on Want: Veolia pull out of apartheid-style ‘settlers only’ bus service in the West Bank

A snippet of good news for a change:

In a campaign message to their supporters of 28 November 2013, Rafeef Ziadah, WarOnWant‘s Senior Campaigner for Global Justice,  mentioned that

“After an intensive campaign, in a major victory, multinational company Veolia pulled out of its illegal project operating apartheid-style ‘settlers only’ bus services in the West Bank. Veolia cited the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign as the primary reason for its decision after cities and banks across Europe divested from the company, withdrawing contracts worth almost $14 billion.”
