Subject: Please sign the motion to rid Scotland and the Middle East of nuclear weapons

Dear Mike MacKenzie
I am writing to ask you, if you have not already done so, to sign Motion S4M-05982, ‘Honesty on Nuclear  Weapons in Scotland and in the Middle East’, regardless of your party affiliation. If you have already signed, that will influence how I will cast my votes at the next election.
Nuclear weapons exterminate children in schools, patients in maternity wards, the elderly in homes, and every other category of human being.
Israel has so far refused to open its military nuclear facilities to IAEA inspection, despite a near-unanimous vote in the UN General Assembly calling on it to do so.
The majority of your constituents oppose replacing Trident and support the efforts of the UN and the IAEA to bring Israel’s nuclear facilities under international inspection.
Yours sincerely
[MP-J, full address given]
