Gaza sacrifices – the true facts

According to Medical Aid for Palestinians, by the last day of the offensive on Gaza,
Palestinian deaths had risen to 156 including 103 civilians, and 1000 others including 971 civilians wounded;
– 33 children killed and 274 others wounded – the youngest, Omar Masharaw, was only 11 months old;
– 13 women killed and 162 others wounded;
– 3 journalists killed.
(see here for the original post: http://www.map-uk.org/news/view/-/id/1282/)And while the bombardment has stopped, the blockade hasn’t. Medicines are still urgently needed and border hostilities continue.

The Briefing Paper quoted from Danny Ayalon (Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister):-
       “I would say that most of the people that were hit in Gaza deserved it as they were just armed terrorists”
That is the shocking, completely unacceptable sort of thing we frequently hear from our own broadcasting and media people, and from some of our politicians and others with power in our own country.
We must work harder than ever to get the true facts across to people. This post is an attempt to do just that.
